Om du inte gillar breda rimmar är det i första hand denna egenskap du ska kolla in. Välj helst inte mer än, säg 19-20mm. Man kan säga att gränsen går lite mellan fairway och distance driver.

flightratings: Discens flygegenskaper beskrivs utifrån 4 termer: fart, glid, turn, fade.
turn: Discens benägenhet att vika höger i början av flygbanan (vänster för vänsterhänt backhand).
fade: Discens benägenet att falla vänster när farten minskar (höger för högerhänt backhand).
överstabil: Disc med liten turn och/eller mycket fade, dvs en vänstergående disc (höger för vänsterhänt).
understabil: Disc med mycket turn och lite fade, dvs en högergående disc (vänster för vänsterhänt).
rim: Discens kant (ytterring) som man greppar. Kan vara tex bred eller smal.
kupol: Discens flygplatta. Kan tex vara platt eller rund/välvd.

Kasttermer:
RHBH: Right Hand Backhand Throw
release: Det ögonblick då discen kastas iväg (släpper/lämnar handen).
hyzer: Motsatt sida om greppsida pekar nedåt vid release.
anhyzer: Motsatt sida om greppsida pekar uppåt vid release.
hyzer-bomb: Ett högt hyzerkast med mycket hyzer-vinkel.
sky-anny: Ett högt anhyzerkast med mycket anhyzer-vinkel.
flippa: Discen drar åt höger för högerhänt backhand (och på samma sätt åt vänster för vänsterhänt).
fadea: Discen viker av (faller) vänster i slutet av flygbanan när farten minskar (höger för vänsterhänt).
"Håller linjen": Discen följer den vinkel den kastas ut i, dvs svaga tendenser till både fade och flipp.
s-kurva: Flygbanan formar en s-kurva genom att en understabil disc kastas ut i hyzer-vinkel åt vänster för att sedan flippa över åt höger och slutligen fadea tillbaks vänster.
flex shot: Flygbanan formar en s-kurva genom att en överstabil disc kastas ut i anhyzer-vinkel åt vänster för att sedan komma tillbaks åt höger för att slutligen fadea vänster.
hyzerflippa: Liknar s-kurva fast discen hyzrar mindre vänster och flippar mindre höger. Målet är att jobba med både hyzer och anhyzer-fasen för att åstadkomma ett långt kast som landar rakt i förhållande till utkastplatsen.
roller: Att kast man flippar/anhyzrar så kraftigt att discen viker ner och rullar på marken.
